Christmastime entertaining encourages delightful beverages. Try a celebratory Christmas Sangria punch during your next gathering. Served chilled, the base ingredients are: 1 bottle of Merlot red wine, 1/2 cup of orange juice,1/4 cup of cranberry juice, 2/3 cup of super fine sugar, 1/4 cup of Cointreau, emulsified basil, and star anise. Mix well and chill overnight. Pour the Sangria into a punch bowl and top with a festive ice ring, which includes slices of oranges and fresh rosemary.
