Appetizers set the tone for the gathering and bring the onset of the culinary entertaining. Welcome friends with quick hors d’oeuvres. Here’s a great recipe. Sauté mushroom caps in brandy and butter. Remove the mushrooms from the pan and fill each cap with a mixture of goat cheese and honey. Sprinkle the tops with fresh chopped herbs and serve chilled.
